Exceptions to present simple and continuons

  • To Be:
To be in present continuous can be used to refer to behaviour.

Examples:
  You are silly (eres tonto).
  You are being silly (Te estás comportando de forma tonta).

  • Have VS Have got:


    HAVE GOT
    Use: colloquial language and often in the short or abbreviated
    Note: "Have gotonly used in the simple present tense. In the past, we can only use "have" (conjugation: "had").



    -Negative: S+have+not+got+complements

    ?Interrogative: Have+S+got+complements+?

    HAVE
    -Negative: S + have/has + not + Complements
    ?Interrogative: Have/has + S + Complements + ?
